Lavoro autonomo (spettacolo) – Self employment (artists)

This visa is intended for artists and entertainment industry personnel invited by renown Italian institutions or theatres.

Appointments can be scheduled through the prenot@mi website and the applicant should always appear in person. The passport will be kept until the final decision is adopted.

All documents must be printed out and presented in original plus a photocopy where required. Applicants should always appear in person.

On the day of the appointment the following documents must be provided:
1) Duly completed application form (click here);
2) Valid passport or travel document (original plus photocopy), valid at least 3 months beyond the return date of your trip from Italy and at least with two blank pages. The passport will be kept and returned with the visa, if approved;
3) Valid French Residence Permit (original plus photocopy), valid at least 3 months beyond the return date of your trip in Italy;
4) Passport-style photo full front and white background and not older than 6 months (see specifications);
5) Job contract ensuring the self-employee’s compensation is higher than the amount provided by the Italian national contracts for the same category of employees;
6) Copy of a formal declaration by the entity’s legal representative to the Territorial Labor Directorate certifying that no subordinate employment relationship will be established with the applicant. For workers employed in circuses or traveling shows, the declaration is issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies;
7) Authorization (“Nulla osta”) from the relevant Police headquartes (“Questura”) released in the last 3 months (only for stays over 90 days);
8) Proof of a suitable accommodation in Italy;
9) If not included in the emplyment agreement, an international medical insurance with a minimum of 30.000 € coverage and full and unlimited coverage for hospitalization. Detailed table of benefit must be provided;
8) Round-trip travel ticket reservation for short-term Schengen Visa shorter than 90 days. One-way travel tickets reservation for long-term National visa longer than 90 days. Please note (ticket must be printed directly from the airline/trainline/bus operator showing passenger name, dates, from/to).

Please be aware that, at the time of your appointment, your application will not be accepted unless presented with all required documents. If all the items listed above are not presented, the applicant will have to reschedule a new appointment.
